S-350E Vityaz (50R6) Medium Range Air Defence Missile System, Russia


The S-350E Vityaz (Knight) missile system (Russian: ЗРС Витязь) or 50R6 is middle-range surface-to-air missile system developed by GSKB Almaz-Antey Corporation, for the Russian defence. It was developed by as a replacement for the ageing S-300PS and S-300PT-1A. The system design traces its roots from the joint South Korean/Russian KM-SAM project. The naval version with 9M96E guided missile under development would be called Redut.
The dual defence missile system was unveiled at the MAKS 2013 Airshow held in Moscow in August 2013.

It entered into service with the Russian Army in 2005.
